Juneteenth - Student & staff holiday

Reminder: June 19 is a staff & student holiday in honor of Juneteenth, a day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Let us take this time to reflect, learn, and honor freedom.

Summer Mobile Library

A mobile service program provided to select schools throughout the district to encourage literacy. Students are provided an opportunity to check out library books, acquire free books for their own collections, receive a snack, and occasionally listen to books read aloud.

Summer meals offered FREE to students under 18.

This summer, beginning June 9, free, nutritious breakfasts and lunches will be offered to children 18 and under at select school locations. All meal sites will be open Monday through Thursday and will be closed on June 19.

Arnold Middle School eighth grade student Fiorella Gonzalez Toro is surrounded by classmates, CFISD administration, family and HMH representatives during a surprise celebration on May 8 commemorating her accomplishment of being one of 49 national Read 180 winners.

May 21, 2025—Arnold Middle School eighth grade student Fiorella Gonzalez Tollo was named one of 49 national winners of the HMH Read 180 award. Gonzalez Tollo was surprised with a celebration with HMH on May 8 to celebrate her accomplishment. Classmates, family and Arnold faculty joined in to commemorate the moment.
